VERY RARE 2012 16.25 LONGABERGER AMERICANA PARTY TRAY+PROTECTOR NWT. I just unpacked this beautiful new tray today.
This is definitely the entertainment tray for snacks, parties, celebrations, and even decorating with the solid maple wood bottom. The basket is 16.25 inches across/round (HUGE) and has woven stained (Red, White, & Blue) splints on the sides to represent the America flag and a solid Red wooden bottom. The tray has a custom Longaberger heavy protector that is food safe and should be washed by hand.All of Longaberger baskets are woven in the United States by a dedicated craftsman, using American hardwood maple. The handles are Red leather.
I have read that a basket with a wooden bottom is one of the hardest baskets to weave because the weaver has to start with the wooden bottom and weave up making it a skill only a seasoned weaver could accomplish. This tray was produced before the company closed in 2018. This is a rare opportunity to own a basket dedicated to the American dream and handcrafted to be passed down to future generations. I collected the All American (Red, White, & Blue) baskets and accessories over the years and will be listing more in the future.
